In August 2010, I was one of eight people who joined Christina's cultural tour of Stockholm. I had only been to Stockholm once before - in 1963 so had very little memory except that it was a very beautiful city surrounded by water. Beautiful it is and fascinating. I loved the long weekend and shall go to Stockholm again. Christina conducts her tours with such efficiency, she has great knowledge of the city, its architecture and art and adds a personal touch which is exclusive to her tours.

My Stockholm trip in 2010 was an unforgettable introduction to Sweden. Stockholm Cultural Tours delivered what it promised with an exciting mix of the arts and architecture, music and museums, boat trips and shopping, not forgetting gourmet dining, all expertly chosen to showcase Swden's finest. Thank you Christina for a wonderful experience which felt more like a holiday with a few friends on a voyage of discovery which I shall always remember.
Ann Windsor (Camden, London)
I often think, during this long New York winter, of the perfectly organized and artistically realized trip I took in the summer. Christina is completely charming, and knows her subject comme sa poche! i could not have been introduced to sweden in a more delightful way..
Lucy Waring Young (New York City, New York)
I could not dream of a better introduction to Sweden and more warm and informed guide than Christina Sanderson to discover mesmerising Stockholm. 4 days of walks, visits, a wonderful private boat on the Archipelago – one of the most beautiful and peaceful places that I have seen in my life. Also the food was fantastic (which coming from a French man is a real compliment)! The tour was excellent value for money.
Alexandre Reiunier (Boucheron, Old Bond Street, London)
As an art lover, being shown around Stockholm was an absolute treat – especially discovering tucked-away gems like the Thielska Galeriet, with its world-class collection of Scandinavian paintings, or the palace and grounds of Drottningholm Palace. The approach to the Palace by boat in summer is a pleasure in itself.
Claude Piening (Director, Nineteenth century European Paintings, Sotheby's, London)
Our tour was not a brash umbrella wielding experience but a sensitive, considerate guide around some of Stockholm's cultural gems. Christina's passion for Swedish heritage, her academic background and years of experience in the art world bring desitinations and objects to life. Explanations are given in an entirely palatable, comprehensive way. Particular highlights were the Thiel Gallery set in beautiful Blockhusudden and Wilhelmina Von Hallwyl's exquisite legacy exhibited in the Hallwyl Museum. We were elevated and educated by the experience and look forward to returning for more.
Suzannah and Jack Knight (London)
With her specialist knowledge of Scandinavian art and culture, Christina Sanderson is the ideal person to engage individuals or groups in discovering this most beautiful of cities and its environs.
Dr David Jackson (Professor in Scandinavian and Russian Art History, Leeds University)
It's great to be shown a city by someone who really knows it, finding those nooks and cranies that would otherwise evade you: like the coffee shop with delicious homemade cakes and comfy sofas or the less well known galleries in the massive park showcasing Swedish art and culture. Stockholm is full of surprises, many of which would not be found without local knowledge. Anyone can walk around a park but when you have a guide you know the significance of statues, walkways and palaces as well as being shown that somewhere special for a lunch break. I could not have asked more from Stockholm Cultural Tours.
Karyn Stuckey (University of the Arts, London)
The guides unravelled the wonders of the city with such detail and enthusiasm that it was impossible for me not to wish my weekend visit could last that little bit longer! It was an enlightening experience and I am keen to revisit Stockholm to see more! I particularly enjoyed Thielska gallery and the boat trip in the magnificent Archipelago was quite simply like a wonderful dream. Stockholm far exceeded my expectations.
